Answers:

When you are scheduled to do LASIK/LASEK/PRK, your doctor usually tells you to refrain form wearing contacts for 2 weeks prior to your surgery. That applies to soft contact lens users. If you are a RGP/Hard contact lens user, typically you should not wear them for about 2 months. Most doctors recommend even longer periods of time if you are wearing RGP's.

This is becuase when you wear contact lenses, especially RGP's, they cause your cornea to form to the shape of the contact over time. If youo dont wear ocntacts for a long time, your coneas gradully revert to its original form. This is important becuase it is essential to have a cornea that is in its original state to get optimum visual acutity with your LASIK.
