What's the best hard contact lenses for degenerative myopic eyes?!

Question:

What's the best hard contact lenses for degenerative myopic eyes?

Answers:

hmm. if you mean true "degenerative myopia" with associated RETINAL problems, no contact lens will have any effect whatsoever on the degeneration of the retina/macula.

if you merely mean myopia progression (getting increasingly nearsighted), any gas permeable lens design will work in theory. although its debatable if any of them work for that at all.

as for which "lens" is best, thats totally a matter of opinion. each lab has its own designs, and can choose from dozens (hundreds?) of materials.

i personally like essilor contact lens lab designs in contamac "optimum extreme" material. high oxygen which promotes good corneal health... & good wettability which promotes comfort.

ortho-k lenses show promise for slowing/stopping myopia progression:
