how much does an eye exam cost at a lens crafters/etc? additionally, what are basic costs for glasses/contacts in places like this? can't find prices on their websites.
i just moved to a new city and don't have insurance....and have never visited a franchise eye doctor. any help would be worthwhile...

I got an eye exam at Target Optical (North Carolina) for $60. Since I have a simple prescription, I ordered my glasses from a website called value lenses (I think). After shipping, they cost $64.
I've been wearing glasses and contacts for about 25 years, and the eye doctor at Target in Durham is my favorite doc ever.
