What is the youngest age to get eye contacts?
my 10 year old son wants contacts and I am trying to figure out the youngest age when you can get them
Answers:
It depends on the child. I work in for an optometrist and we have patients around the age of 8 or 9 who are in contacts already. Before you spend your money on a fitting make sure that your son does not have a problem with touching his eye and make sure he knows the responsibilities of wearing contact lenses. I would also reccomend talking to your doctor without you son around and see what they would recommend and why. However, if your son plays sports or wants to join a team or two in the near future I would definantly look into getting him contact lenses.
