My wife eye vision has turned white in her left eye due to metal in her eye,plz read details for more?

in the afternoon of june 19 her eye started hurting, she later went to an optical doctor that nite and they gave her medicine in her eye and an eye patch, during her sleep it was irritating her eye every 10 minutes she said, on the morning of june 20 her eye stopped hurting but when she took the eye patch off her eye vision was white, but u can still see the pupil and still is to this very moment, can someone explain to me whats happening?

I suggest you taking your wife to see a Cornea Specialist like yesterday. A Foreign Object (which is what your wife has/had in her eye) is not a good thing, in fact it is very bad and could cause alot of damage to the eye if left untreated. When Eye Docotrs try to remove foreign objects from the eye, not all of the particles come out and a patient may have to return to the office. Personally I would go to a Cornea Specialist and not just a Optical Store. An Ophthalmologist is covered under all insurances, just make sure you call the office first to see if a referral is needed from your Primary Doctor. Please advise your wife not to rub her eye, these could cause foreign object to go deeper in eye & could cause alot od damge. If going outside & it's sunny out, PLEASE WEAR SUNGLASSES.
