Is it possible to buy magnetic clip on sunglasses separately from your prescription glasses?
But I want it to still be a good fit over the regular glasses.
Answers:
Well many prescription glasses have a magnetic sun clip available. If your glasses did not come with that option then a magnetic sun clip will not work.... it needs to have the magnetic attachment on your glasses for them to stay on. You could always get a custom made "hook on" sun clip. They make them to match the shape and color of your glasses exactly and you can choose your lens color. It is the more pricey option (around $100). Also most opticals will have a catalog of generic "hook on" sun clips all different shapes and sizes. You may be able to find one that closley matches your frame and sometimes they have a choice of lens/frame color (around $50).
Those ones never match exactly but some times they are pretty close.
One other option could be the "aviator" sun clip... it is very cheap, clips on to your glasses and will definitely cover your lenses but not match them (Also not very attractive)
