I meant to say , Can i buy the contact lenses that you sleep in,when you take them out in the morning, you can see for the day without glasses and contact lenses , can i buy them in a normal opticians

This is called 'ortho keratology' or 'ortho k' for short, and involves wearing a hard contact lens over night while you sleep. It has a specially designed shape which temporarily changes or 'moulds' the shape of your cornea, and corrects your vision for the following day.

The effect lasts a day or so, sometimes two. You have to wear the lenses ever night usually, to keep having the effect.

Is is only suitable for people who are short sighted, with a maximum prescription of -4.00, and maximum astigmatism of -1.00 ish.

I have fitted patients with ortho k before, with mixed success- it tends to work best on lower prescriptions, and bear in mind the fitting process can take up to a month. Its great when it works though! Good luck.
