Eye Excerises?!

Question:

Eye Excerises?

I have very bad near sightednesses which i heard is called myopia. Is it true that eye excercises do work so i can work my way out of wearing glasses and actually improving my eyesight. Im getting sick of it now and i know glasses dont improve vision at all. because i vebeen wearing them for a years. So what kind of excercises you know about that can help me with myopia?

Answers:

Naturally over time your eyesight changes on its own. Its just a natural process and there is not much you can do to stop it.
When you wear glasses the lenses are the power required to bend the light onto your retina so you can see clearly.
Wearing glasses does not make your eyes stronger or weaker they just help you see.
Just take good care of your eyes by maintaining a healthy diet. It won't necessarily stop your eyesight from getting worse, but it will keep your eyes healthy!
There are many things that you can ingest that promote eye health like: vitamins A,C,E flaxseed oil, omega fatty acid 3, beta carotene. Take caution when taking these things because taking too much can be harmful.

Reduce the amount of eyestrain you endure by taking breaks while you are on the computer/watching TV. Also protect your eyes by always wearing UV protected eyewear when outside. UV rays are known to cause macular degeneration and cataracts.
As for the eye exercises it hasn't been proven that they actually work....even if they did a bit it wouldn't be enough to "cure" your vision.
If you are 18 or older you could talk to your doctor about lasik eye surgery and if this procedure would be suitable for you. There is also a non surgical treatment called orthokeratology or ortho k!
It is basically special contact lenses that gently reshape the surface of your eye, while you sleep, so you can see clearly even after you remove the lenses. This improvement is temporary and the lens wearer must continue the prescribed wearing schedule to maintain the myopia reduction. This procedure allows you to not wear contacts or glasses during the day.

This can be done for any age group and with myopia up to
-6.00 diopters. This procedure has less complications then laser eye surgery and can be reversed if not satisfied.

If you just do not like the look of glasses you could also try regular contact lenses.....
Talk to your local eye care profesional about your options :)
