Anybody who has eye contacts..?!

Question:

Anybody who has eye contacts..?

If you had or have eye centacts have you ever had any major eye problems? I mean, can they be harmful to your eyes in any way because I might get a pair and I don;t want to get any kind of eye problems or anything.

Answers:

-Always wash you hands before inserting your contacts.
-Apply your make up after putting y our contacts in, if you do it before you might get make up on them as you are putting them in.
-Always clean you contact lens case out with water and allow it to air dry throughout the day while you are wearing them.
-Use new cleaning solution everyday, never reuse your solution.
-Close your eyes when you spray hairspray, or anything else that sprays!
-Never share your contacts with anyone else.
-Never share eye make up with anyone else.

The best way to put contacts in... this may be the hardest part for you...

Put the cl (contact lens) on the fatty part of your finger tip of your index finger on your right hand. Use your right ring finger to pull down your lower eyelid.Use your left hand to pull up the upper lid and hold it up firmly. Now, looking straight into the mirror take the cl and put it right onto your iris, thats the colored part of your eye. DO NOT LOOK AWAY! Most people have a hard time keeping their upper lashes out of the way, so make sure you hold the upper lid firmly. You actually have to press the cl firmly against your eye. You will not hurt yourself.Once you think you have it in close you eye and leave it closed for a few minutes. Move your eye around slowly and it will move itself into place.

If it feels like its moving around then it may be inside out, when you have it on your fingertip it should look like a bowl, the edges should NOT be flared out.

If it hurts then it probably has lint or dust or dirt on it. Put it back in the case and clean it and try again.

Don't be surprised if it takes you several hours to get it right. Once you figure it out practice. Take them in and out every 20 minutes! At least for a day or so, then move up to every hour, then every two hours, and so on until you are wearing them all day. This will help your eyes get used to them too.

I also reccommend Opti- Free or Renu as your cleaning solution.
