I have a lump on my right lower eyelid, it's not a sty.
Answers:
I would go to your family doctor first. Most Optometrists can prescribe antibiotic drops if its the product of some type of infection, but your medical insurance will cover the visit to your primary care physician and unless you have separate vision insurance, the medical won't cover for you to see your Optometrist.
If this lump (that you say isn't a stye) IS NOT the product of an infection, he can refer you to a specialist for a biopsy, or a surgeon if need be.
How can you be sure its NOT a stye, unless you've been to a doctor?
