I can see my contacts moving in my eye and it blurs my vision when they are not !

Question:

I can see my contacts moving in my eye and it blurs my vision when they are not in the right spot. Solution?

Answers:

When you blink your contact lens is supposed to move a bit... but not enough that you should actually notice. It should move 0.5mm to 1mm ( very little)
It sounds like the base curve of your lens is too flat (too low of a base curve) and this is causing it to move around too much and not stay in the proper place. Also your contact lens should remain centered on your cornea. If it becomes decentered the lens usually has too flat of a base curve or too small of a diameter. The optic zone is found in the center of your lens... this is where your full prescription is located and you need to be looking directly through this spot to obtain clear vision. It is possible that over time your contact lens could become warped and the fit of your lens could be affected. Also if it has been awhile since the last time you have been fit with contacts the curvature of your cornea could have changed slightly. Either it is time for you to switch to a new pair of contacts or go back to your eye care professional for a new fitting. :) When you wear contact lenses it is important to go for regular check ups for your eye health!
