Well technically they are not the healthiest thing. For one you have something constantly rubbing on the surface of your eye every time you blink. They are also very prone to infections if not taken care of properly. But the pros out weight the cons. Your eyes heal very quickly and as long as your lenses fit properly there is almost no damage, many people get better vision with contacts then they ever did with glasses. I've been wearing the same contact Rx through three glasses changes and I still see clearer with them then my glasses. If you take good care of your contacts then you should have no problems, I've never has an infection and I've been wearing them for years.
