Help! I am on my last pair of contacts and they are starting to fail me, and I dont have glasses!!!?

Okay I know I should have a pair of glasses but I don't, I am on my last pair of contacts & they both feel like they have a single grain of sand in them that is constantly scratching my eyes...its so painful! I am going out of town on Monday and need to get more contacts/glasses...something before then!! But eye doctor seems to be ignoring my calls and all the many messages I have left. Now, I am legally blind with glasses or contacts...so it is extrememly critical that I get them asap. How long does it take them to make glasses for you?? Can I have contacts lenses over nighted?? And how much would this probably cost me without insurence???

Depending on your prescription, they could probably have lenses for you same day. In the office I work in, we have many single vision lenses in stock and can have them cut in less than 30 minutes.

If you have a valid prescription, you could get contacts online and they have overnight shipping available, I believe, but its probably pretty pricey. That's the price you pay when you don't have a back up pair of glasses. Hope you've learned you lesson.
