What is a good contact solution to use for removing buildup?!

Question:

What is a good contact solution to use for removing buildup?

I regularly wash/rinse/rub/etc my contacts with my solution but i do get buildup even so. plus, makeup sometimes is there (eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, etc) and then i rub too much, trying to get the black and smudges off. which then leads to tearing of the contacts. i keep losing contacts because of this!! Please HELP!

Answers:

Talk to your optometrist about a cleaner called Opticlean II. It is a cleaner that has microgranules suspended in the solution. This allows the cleaner to not only clean like a standard cleaner but because it is mildly abrasive (won't hurt your contact though) it is able to mechanically remove stubborn deposits that a standard cleaner cannot. Only problem is you will need to rinse the contact much more thoroughly after using the cleaner. If some microgranules remain on the lens, when you insert the contact it can be uncomfortable. Hope this helped.
