Can you grow out of astigmatism?!

Can you grow out of astigmatism?
my eyes are terrible. i were contact lenses that are supposes to prevent the getting any worse. but will i ever stop wearing glasses?

My eye doctor has told me that I should be able to grow out of astigmatism too, but so far mine has gotten worse. I guess if she thinks that then some people do grow out, but not me. Don't give up hope. Have you tried Lasik/Lasek. I tried but I'm not a candidate because I have an abnormal warping on my left retina.
