Is it safe to go into the pool with infected eyes?

I can't go to eye doctor or anything because my aunts says no and thinks it's ridicules. My eyes have been hurting for days now since I slept with contacts by accident. Every night I keep rubbing them and in the morning they end up with lots of pus or whatever at the side. It's all pink at the side and it hasn't gone away. I really want to go to the doctor in case it could get any worst. Should I just skip the pool? I am thinking of just biking to the mall to buy some eye drops.
