Question:
What is wrong with his glasses?
My boyfriend bought his glasses from Sears. The tint or whatever it is, is peeling off. The spots where it's peeled he can no longer see through. What do you think that is? He doesn't drop them. He only cleans them with the stuff they told him to clean them with.

I guess you are speaking of the antireflection coating... I cannot think of anything else that would be peeling off....
Depending on how recently he bought his glasses they may have a warranty on the coating and will replace the lenses.
Chemicals like hairspray or cleaning products can damage the coating also excessive heat like if you leave them in the car or open the oven and not stand back for a minute. Also extreme temperature changes like if you went from a hot kitchen into a walk in freezer it could damage the coating. It also could be a manufacturing defect... its really hard to say without seeing them
I would take them into Sears optical and have the optician take a look at them :)
