When you order contacts online do they really contact your eye doctor or do they just ask for their info?

well i'll be honest:
they are supposed to. the law says they have to. and some of them do contact me. but some of them do not...they fill the Rx illegally w/o the doc's permission. its rare in the U.S., but it definitely happens.
but most of the time from most reputable resellers...they are faxing me or calling me for the patient's rx. its called "active verification".
