Is staring bad for your eyes?!

Is staring bad for your eyes?
long term or short term? i can usually stare for atleast 10 minutes but my eyes end up watering. is it bad for me to do it all the time though?
Answers:
Yes it is. Blinking protects the eye from injury and wipes it clean of dirt particles. The movement of the lids across the surface also spreads a layer of tears to keep the eye surface moist. By staring without blinking you may suffer from dry eyes. For that you have to use artificial tears.So don't stare!!
