Question:

I have short-sightedness and I was diagnosed 2 years ago by an optometrist and I was told to wear my glasses?

all the time but I haven't ever worn them all the time only when I can't read the board at school.I don't wear them cos I look REALLY geeky and I am already considered a bit of a geek anyway.I don't have any money to get new ones and I am not old enough to get a job at the moment and don't really like the optometrist so what do I do?

Answers:

To wear glasses when you are short sighted is very very important, i suggest you to put them on first as soon as you get up and last thing to do before you go to bed is take them off, that means wear all the time.

If you dont wear them regulary all the time, there is more chance of increase in your prescription and more damage, and other related problems like not seeing well, headaches, not able to identify the people in the distance when they wish you and there is also a chance of people misunderstanding you for arrogant.

if you dont want to wear the glasses, try contact lenses, but wear only when necessary and as soon as you are at home wear glasses. Eyes are very important dont neglect them. The chances of increase in prescription is upto the age of 22 or 23 years, so please wear them all the time.

People will understand, if they dont understand just ignore those people.
