What not to do after Lasik eye surgery?!

Question:

What not to do after Lasik eye surgery?

How long after the surgery can you:
1. work with computer
2. attend gym
3. have sex

And do you have to wear sunglasses? for how long?

Maybe it sounds ridiculous but I'm serious. If you're not supposed to do sports, not having sex makes sense.

Answers:

I work for a Lasik Company to answer your questions...

1.) You can work with a computer when its comfortable. Nothing with the computer is going to ruin your surgery. Although it depends on how many hrs you spend on the computer because long exposure may cause eyestrain. So you might hav to use eyedrops if you are on for a long time. Also maybe invest in a frame iwht no Rx but get anti- reflection coating on the lenses. That will help cut glare from the computer and help your eyes out.

2.) They reccomend that you do no heavy working out or work for the first two weeks. Mainly because you cant rub your eyes for the first month. When they do the surgery they reshape your cornea , so if you rub your eyes you can ruin the surgery. So our surgons say no workin out or any kind of work that makes you sweat for at lesast the first two weeks.

3.)As far as sex no one has asked me. But i think again as you arent sweeting a lot then i would say anytime. anything else i would say follow #2.

You dont have to wear sunglasses. I would advise them the day of becasue your eyes are going to be so light sensitive. But other than that it just depends on where you live. If you live in a climate that is sunny..its only going to make you more comfortable to have them. They should give you goggles to wear at night for the first month because if the " no rubbing your eyes" thing. so then you wont do it in your sleep. But that just depends on the surgery center.
