Yet another question about contacts...?!

Question:

Yet another question about contacts...?

I heard one of my friends got like the whole outer layer of their eye ripped from using a dry contact lense. Can anything like this actually happen? If so, what are the chanses of it happening?

Answers:

Oh my goodness! Who ever is saying this stuff is pulling your leg. Contacts do not adhere to the eye. There is a thin film of liquid between the contact and your eye. If it were to dry out, it would curl up and fall out. Could be that she was talking about the first contacts that were made of glass, called hard contacts. I still have never heard of this happening. Ever!
