Reddish Eyes?

Hello, I am 14 and I have a problem with my eyes. My eyes are always red. They aren't really red cuz i've looked, theres just veins that are red that make my eyes look horrible. If someone looks at me from a reasonable distance you can't really tell but if someone stands and looks at my eyes from an intimate closeness you can really see them. Anyway, does anyone know what this could be caused by? I mean I wear contacts but I asked my eye doctor if that was the cause and she said that it isn't and that it is probably due to something else like allergies. Bad thing is that I don't sneeze at all so I am left with the doubt of what it could be. Professionals and professional answers will be greatly appreciated.

dont use visine allergy. if you think it might be allergy related, you probably need to see your eye doc again. but if you think you might want to try an over-the-counter eyedrop 1st, then visine allergy is one of the worst ones you could try IMO. much better off using ALAWAY by bausch & lomb or ZADITOR by novartis. not only do alaway and zaditor work way better, but they also do not contain vasoconstrictors like visine-a does, which can cause "rebound hyperemia" among other problems. plus visine-a stings and alaway/zaditor do not.

but chronic red eyes need to be treated by your optometrist...
