Sitting in front of the computer screen?!

Question:

Sitting in front of the computer screen?

How come when I sit in front of the computer for around an hour and then look in the mirror and my eyes are really red? Is this related to me wearing contacts or should I just stay away from the computer for awhile?

Answers:

Wearing contact lenses and being on the computer for an extended period of time in combination could be causing your red eyes. When you are staring at a screen the amount you blink is greatly reduced, contact lenses rely on your blinking to keep them hydrated and moving. I think what you need to do is intentionally take more breaks while using the computer also you could try some contact lens rewetting drops to keep your contacts hydrated.
