Eyes hurt and feel nauseated when looking a computer screens?!

Question:

Eyes hurt and feel nauseated when looking a computer screens?

This has been happening for about a week now

i have been studying for finals off my computer because for some classes they give me a cd-rom book because i guess its cheaper to do

but its been doing it when i do other things then read on the computer

i feel like im car sick and my eyes hurt and i get headaches above my eyes

ill take about an hour or longer break from looking my computer but the symptons start up in a matter of 5-10 minutes

i turned my brightness down below 50% to the point i cant really see dark images very well and i still get his problem

theres notthing i cant really do i need to get my work done

is this just a minor problem that will go away

i can read fine and everything and never had any vision problems

this is the 1st time this has happened and im on the computer alot anyways

Answers:

It seems to me you are experiencing eye strain. Are you certain your eyes are seeing as well as they should? Positioning the computer away from a window, or where glare is a problem, may help, but I'd say it's likely time for an eye check. Headaches and nausea are clues that your eyes are strained, see a doc.
