I'm taking the big step, i'm gettin contacts, i'm scared about the whole process ex: putting them in?

any other details such as how to measure for contacts and what types are out there would be helpful also.

Ur eye doctor will measure u for the size and strength of the contact. I have only used the flexible or soft ones. They are very easy to put in. U don't have to put them directly on ur pupil. U'll just put it in ur eye...it helps to look away, so u don't blink. Then u close ur eye and move ur pupil around, the contact will fit right on. U won't even know it's there. The doctor will give u solution eye drops in case ur eyes get dry. Not all prescription contacts can be ordered in color, but if yours can...colored contacts can be a lot of fun. The doctor should have a book of all the different ones that can be ordered. good luck
