Contact Lenses?!
Question:
Contact Lenses?
When I put in my contacts, one felt like something was in it. I used the Opti-Free Express Rewetting Drops and it still was irritated. About an hour later it was still bothering me, so I went to put the drops in again, and my contact came out. I was not home and didn't have my contact solution. I caught the contact before it fell in the sink and placed it on a paper towel. Then, I washed my hands, put the rewetting solution on it and put it back in my eye. So, I know this all sounds stupid. But I was wondering if it is possible that I may get an eye infection. I took them out as soon as I got home - if that mattered at that point. But I thought the box of the rewetting drops said they could be put on the contacts before putting them in the eye, so I figured maybe it also disinfected them? I want to know if I am at risk, and if there is some kind of drops I can put in my eyes to help me prevent an infection. Please tell me without insulting me.

You did the right thing- I have had to do this before as well. If they are disposable contacts, you should throw this pair away and start with a new pair. If they are not, soak them overnight in a discinfecting solution and then put them in.
You prevented your contact from touching the sink, which is a good thing- so you should be ok.
