For computer use, would you use reading or intermediate prescription spectacles?
At the moment I use a pair of varifocals with an old (not my latest) prescription. I find I'm having to raise my head more in order to see the screen clearly so am considering getting a pair of fixed-focus spectacles made for computer use. I wonder whether it would be best to use the reading prescription or an intermediate prescription.

the classic "intermediate" distance is a computer distance (20-25")
so between those 2 ("reading" rx or "intermediate" rx) i'd choose the intermediate
you can get "computer glasses" that are variable focus but not like a true progressive. a good example is the sola access:
