Question:

I have lots of blood vessels in the white part of my eye, is this normal?

some of them are very close/appear to touch my iris is this ok?

Answers:

It is normal to have blood vessels visable within the white part of the eye. However, if the blood vessels appear larger or there are more of them than usual than that is a cause for concern. Increased reddness in the eyes can be caused by many different things from irritation from wind or contact lens wear to infection or inflammation in the eye. It is always best to have any concerns about the eyes addressed by an eye care professional.
