Any suggestions on where to get a free eye exam or a low cost eye exam?

I live around Houston, Texas and I have no insurance. I do not qualify for government assistance.

We have a free clinic in our area where doctors volunteer to offer their services. I would call the local health department and ask if they are aware of a free clinic offering eye examinations. Otherwise, try contacting the American Optometric Association. They have a program known as Vision USA where local doctors volunteer to to examinations gratis for qualified individuals.
