my left eye is 4 and my right is 4.25
im out of left eyes contacts and more are on the way. is it okay if i wear a 4.25 in my left eye while i wait? how long is it okay to do thi

It won't cause any damage and may not even be all that visually noticeable to you while you wear it. However, if you tend to be sensitive to slight changes in your prescription, it could give you eyestrain. For the short term, I see no reason you can't wear them. There's a saying in optometry circles...."a quarter never killed anyone," meaning a prescription that is off by a a quarter of a diopter, as yours would be, is not terribly detrimental.
