My eyes have started to get sore after wearing contacts lenses for only a couple of hours can any one help?

I always get this problem in the summer as well. The soreness is actually caused by the lenses drying out to quickly. For me, the optician reckons that the problem is actually caused by very mild hay fever (i didn't even know I had hay fever until he told me as I don't get any other symptoms). Alternatively stress/tiredness can be another factor.
Your best bet is to give your eyes a couple of days rest and then try your lenses again. You could also try eye drops for contact lens wearers as they can help as well.
If things don't clear up after a couple of days go to the optician and get them to check your eyes are OK.
