What the deference between fanting and pasing out?!
Question:
What the deference between fanting and pasing out?
Answers:
'Fainting' and 'passing out' are the same - the medical term is 'syncope', and it is the loss of consciousness (or near loss of consciousness) from lack of blood flow (and therefore lack of oxygen) delivered to the brain. There are various potential triggers to syncope, including severe straining (lifting heavy objects, pushing while constipated), suddenly getting up from a lying position, certain medical conditions, and intense emotional states.
Not to be confused with 'vertigo', which is 'sensation of the room/world moving around you', or 'light-headedness', which is the feeling associated with inability to concentrate (e.g. the 'buzz' from taking too much cough medication).
