I have one near sighted, one far sighted eye?

I get really bad headaches from my glasses, but I need them to read (for the most part). I have 20/40 20/80 vision.

This condition is known as anisometropia. A few things can cause the headaches: glasses that are a little off power-wise, a difference in image sizes called aniseikonia (think of it this way, the (+) power lens magnifies and the (-) power lens minifies, so the brain gets two different sized images), the need for extra reading power, called presbyopia, or poor binocular skills that can affect focusing and oculoar alignment.
