My left eye is very weak plz enter?!

My left eye is very weak plz enter?

when i close my right eye, i can't see clearly. i mean i can't read or drive using it alone. when i went to a doctor and did a test for the proper glasses, she wrote the word "for balance" for the weak eye and put a glass similar to the one of the right one. i asked why is that? she said " forget about it" so what is the medical name for this situation? is there any treatment?

1st off the doctor was very unprofessional to not satisfactorily answer your question. It sounds to me like you are legally blind in your left eye so the doctor isn't going to adjust the vision in that eye but merely add a lense of glass of appropriate weight to match that of the corrective lense for the right eye. I would press the doctor to find out if this is the case, and would a lense, even a heavy thick one, correct the vision in the left eye. If she still won't explain your condition consult another doctor.

My left eye is weak too, but mine is due to an astigmatism, a mis-shaping of the eye so the iris is not directing the light to the retina as it should. Macular Degeneration is a progressive degenerative condition of the eye and is much the same but due to its nature it continues to get worse despite corrective lenses.

When I got my new drivers license I was told the vision in my left eye is so bad, that although my glasses help, they don't improve the vision enough to limit me to wearing them when driving! It makes no sense to me as the glasses help a lot, but at least now I won't get a ticket for wearing non-prescription sunglasses while driving.
