I just got contacts?!

I just got contacts?

I got contacts today, and my doctor was really patient, since it took me forever to get them in and out again. When I was there I looked fine, but when I got home I realized my eyelids were swollen, especially the one on the eye that I had less trouble with. This is normal right? won't last long? I'm just checking. Treading on unfamiliar grounds here.

no it's normal, it's probably just from playing with your eyes trying to get the contacts in. don't worry about it. just wear the contacts as instructed (your doctor probably advised you to wear them a certain number of hours a day until you get used to them). If you continue to swell, or anything unusual and uncomfortable happens, obviously call the doc immediately. Otherwise, welcome to the club, and don't worry, it all took us an hour per eye to get them in the first time :)
