I think I have a sty.?
But I don't know if I should call a doctor or wait to see what happens with it. My eye is just kind of sore. Do you think it could get worse?
Answers:
Call an Opthmalogist, preferrably one that is Board Certified. Styes tend to increase in discomfort if left untreated. The doctor will prescribe eye drops and/or an ointment. A wet, warm hand towel compressed over the eye will give some comfort and help rid of any type of discharge. DO NOT RUB THE EYE NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT ITCHES! Your fingers carry a fair amount of germs that may contaminate your eye and cause an infection to develop. Please wash your hands often.
