Itchy eyes, any suggestions??!!?

my left eye has been itchy latley. The last time i went to the eye doctor to get my eyes checked for my glasses they said i had dry eyes, so they gave me eye drops called Refresh Tears. When i used them it seemed like it didn't do anything because i don't remember me having itchy eyes then. But, now, i have REALLY ITCHY EYES. i use Visine A.C eyedrops and they don't do anything for me ...i don't think. I also have long eyelashes so i think that may be the problem also. I also have my hair in layers so i try to keep the hair out of my eyes and that works sometimes. But do you have any suggestions like:
-any eye drops i can use to help solve the problem
-how to keep my eye lashes and my hair out of the way
-any treatments
-anything i can do at home to help
-etc.
please help me! i can't take it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

OMG. i experienced having itchy eyes during my elementary years.. and everytime it does itch.. i use eyedrops... eye ointments and others.. but after such a short time.. my eye vision was affected so i had to put glasses on..

so now i found the best remedy.. just wash your face with water and put something really cold in your eyes.. like towel.. it will lessen the itchiness and the soreness..
