Will night blurriness& halos around lights disappear by themselves?!

Question:

Will night blurriness& halos around lights disappear by themselves?

I've been sick for almost 3 months & only started to get better in last 2-3 weeks.

Gone already to 2 optho. & 3 optomotrists, done all tests by dilating the eye & all of them think I have prefect eye health.

I'm not on any medication at the moment & my dr thinks it will go away by itself & its my eyes that are tired or whatever.

Light blurieness is actually there EVERY night for last 2-3 months but perfect during the day.

did anyone face such a thing before?

cheers,

Answers:

Let's address some basic issues. If you wear glasses, check to see if there are tiny scratches on the lenses. Multiple scratches can cause the blurred vision and the optical distortions that you describe. If the blurred vision and halos occur primarily while you are driving, then check your windshield. Again, a scratched windshield can cause secondary halos. While you're at it make sure that you clean that film that forms on the inside of car windows.

If none of the previous conditions exists, then you may need a test that is not normally performed during a routine eye examination. Your eye may be experiencing blur caused by higher-order optical distortions known as higher-order aberrations. An eye doctor would perform wave-front analysis on your eyes to determine this. The instrument is not commonly found in a general eye doctor's office, but eye-doctors who perform laser refractive surgery will usually have it. Call a LASIK or PRK surgeon's office. Explain your case, and ask if you could just have the wave-front testing performed.

I hope this helps.
