Contacts question?!

Question:

Contacts question?

could you take a shower with contacts in?

Answers:

Its not recommended for a myriad of reasons. First, they can wash out and once they've come out in the shower, good luck trying to find the sucker. Secondly, there are all kinds of bacteria in the water that can get trapped between the contact lens and your cornea and cause very nasty eye infections - nasty enough to cause permanent vision loss in the worst cases. There are also all types of germs in your shower that can cause infections. It is NEVER recommended to use anything but your contact lens solution OR sterile saline on your contacts and the case. Your doctor will always tell you to avoid showering, swimming, washing your face, or wearing them while in hot tubs or steam rooms.

Bottom line - Wear your specs in the shower. Just because just about everyone above me said that THEY do it, doesn't make it right...
