Is having really prominent red eye in photos indicative of any medical or physio!

Question:

Is having really prominent red eye in photos indicative of any medical or physiological conditions?

I have noticed that I get red eye in photos much much more than most people. Huge bright red circles, when no one else in the photo has them. I have light eyes, but even other people in the photo with light eyes don't get red eye the way that I do.

It seems like maybe it shows up in photos so prominently because my pupils are dilated? Could that be it, and if so, why and what does it mean?

Answers:

It doesn't mean anything. The red eye in photo is call the red-orange reflex. This reflex is NORMAL. It has NOTHING to do with eye disease and should not worry you a single bit.

To get rid of it, turn on the anti-red eye feature that comes with most cameras nowadays. What this feature does is to send out preliminary small flashes to constrict the pupils of the patients being photographed before the actual flash is executed,
