Hi, Im a new contact lens user. Its kinda difficult in the start (when i try to put on my lens), as my eyes start watering and then there's the irritation followed by the redening of the eye. I know this'll become alright once i get used to it..... But HERE IS MY PROBEM:
The other day i was in a hurry and opened both the the lens covers in the cases and just removed my lens frm my eyes & placed them in it(Grrrrr....I still am aangry with myself abt dat!!!)...... & now it's got interchanged. I have no clue, which one goes for which eye. And these are power lenses and not the cosmetic ones.My deyedoctor stays quite far away & wouldn't want 2 disturb him wit somethin silly like this...so pl help some1???????

Ahhh...the trials and tribulations of contacts. Well put them in and see if you can read this. =)
Usually if they are wrong, it will feel uncomfortable in the wrong eye, or you will get a slight headache, or it will be harder to see. After years of wearing contacts - about 15 now - i still occasionally mess it up, usually not paying attention when I take them out. I use the microwave clock as a checkpoint. If it is blurry, it's in the wrong eye.
Also remember there is an inside out to contacts. If it is is the right direction, if you fold it, it should close nicely like a clamshell. Inside out will not fold together nicely. Use lots of solution as little fibers can make a contact extremely uncomfortable!
Last piece of advice, start saving for Lasik. Actually contacts are a life saver and give you so much more freedom than glasses.
