I am getting color contacts....?!

Question:

I am getting color contacts....?

I'm naturally have dark brown eyes and already wear clear contacts for my vision, but I'm getting hazel contacts. Do you think that is a good idea? Are there any risks for colored contacts?

Answers:

well it depends. Are you getting COLORED CONTACTS or just COLOR ENHANCERS.

The color enhancers are nice because they don't block the black part of your eye (cornea) at all and let you see through the whole thing...where as colored contacts are usually colored with a small hole (where there is no color present) for your cornea to fit in, allowing you to see.

The only problem with that is, if your COLORED CONTACTS move around (as contacts often do) , the colored part can cover up your cornea, making it (sometimes) very hard to see.

But if you are willing to put up with that, then you should be fine. However, I still recommend the ENHANCERS.

Especially if you already have dark eyes.

The colored contacts might just make them look nearly black. And that's just freaky and demonic.

The nice thing about colored lenses is that they are easy to find if they fall out or something (that happens to me a lot!!) So that's really nice.

Also remember that the OASIS and other types of brands that keep the contact more moist (so that it doesnt get dry and itchy) are only available in the clear kind and have not yet come out in the color brands. Which is fine if you dont have any problems with your eyes, but personally mine dried out a lot so I ended up switching back to the clear.

Good LUCK...

and remember to clean them out (and RUB THEM) every night. You don't want to get a REALLY bad case of pink eye like me.
