Awoke with large eye, red, and sort of numb--help ASAP?

I need to know what now. im home tonight, like with my parents. and im not really sure why tonight i decided to stay here but anyways. I noticed specifically the right one itching. the left one had stopped being itchy but I rubbed the right one. i noticed it felt weird and the eyelid was closing down so i went up and woke up my mom (sounds so weird to say and be able to do that!) I pulled down the bottom lid and I was like you see about the gooing out thing? and shes like well yeah, but you're fine-got some ice& a clean cloth to put on it for the night. im supposed to go to sleep and get up for work in the AM? i was gonna go to the ER but i decided to ask her. obviously im scared-I cant sleep. not itchy anymore, but really red and enlarged. it feels kinda numb. she thought maybe my face wash fumes got up in it? but i wiped out eyeliner from inside it i noticed earlier. all i can think of is anatomy from HS when she said your eye can literally pop out. okay what should I do now-wait?

congrats, you caught pink eye. don't touch it or you could transfer it to the other eye. also, it's really contagious so quarantine yourself and go to the Dr!
