Is there any organization that will assist with getting a new pair of glasses. i am legally blind, mine broke.
I CAN'T AFFORD A NEW PAIR. I HAVE BEEN PATCHING UP MY CURRENT GLASSES FOR OVER 5 YEARS. FIRST THE HANDLES BROKE-SHOESTRINGS. THEN THEY BROKE IN HALF AT THE NOSE BRIDGE-TAPE AND CRAZY GLUE. THEY BROKE AGAIN AT THE BRIDGE BUT IN A WAY THAT I CAN NOT TAPE OR GLUE THEM. I GOT THE LAST PAIR FROM THE LIONS CLUB BUT DON'T QUALIFY FOT THEIR ASSISTANCE ANYMORE. ALSO MY PRESCRIPTION HAS INCREASED.

Call the United Way in your area and see if they have a referral service. They should be able to tell you if there are any organizations in your area that can help with your glasses.
If you are receiving disability and medicaid, you need to talk with them about your situation. Depending on the state you live in, they may have a program for assistance.
All states have an office that works with people with disabilities and the services they use. You could get on your state's website and try to find assistance that way.
If you can find a pair of glasses that fit you - just the glasses - you can have the lenses replaced by your optician. This will save alot of money.
If you are participating in any programs that help you find employment, they may buy your glasses for you. You can't work if you can't see!
