I've worn glasses for 21 years, and am considering switching to contacts. What !

Question:

I've worn glasses for 21 years, and am considering switching to contacts. What are reasons to/not to switch?

please tell me some pros and cons of switching?
I am 30, female, married and mom of 2, and very nearsighted, I get nervous when I misplace my glasses.

Answers:

Pros: You can wear sun glasses. You will probably be able to see a little better. If your eyes are still getting progressively worse, contacts usually halt that. Your glasses will be your back-up if you lose/rip a contact.

Cons: They're a hassle to keep clean. My brother just got over a nasty eye infection that nearly cost him his sight and required emergency surgery. Glasses are easier to care for and easier to put on your face. You have to remember to buy contact solutions.

If you go with contacts, I'd suggest going with the short term wear kind, because then you're not doing as much cleaning, and if you lose one, it's not such a big deal.
