How long does it take your vision to return to normal after eye surgery for a he!

Question:

How long does it take your vision to return to normal after eye surgery for a hemorage behind eye?

The doc had to leave an air bubble behind my eye also.

Answers:

"left a bubble" sounds like you might have possibly had retinal reattachment surgery. if thats the case and you did have a retinal detachment, it is unlikely that the vision in that eye will ever be exactly like it was pre-surgery. retinal reattachment surgery can "save" some vision but almost never restors the patient to the pre-surgical vision.

if you did not have a retinal detachment, but rather only had a "vitrectomy" to remove the blood, then you should be able to have close to the same vision that you had before the hemorrhage...but it may take months. 6-8 months would be a good estimate IMO, depending on the severity of the hemorrhage...?
