Wearing Sunglasses?!

Question:

Wearing Sunglasses?

While watching TV, does wearing sunglasses protect your eyes from the TV? Does it protect you eyes from the computer? etc.

Answers:

Hello there! Sunglasses have a dark tint and UV protection. UV rays occur naturally in sunlight. UV rays are not emitted from computer or TV screens. So wearing sunglasses for those activities would not benefit you at all. The tint wouldn't help either because it just shades your eyes from bright light. Which inside would make it difficult for you to see. If you wore regular glasses with an antireflection coating would that would help reduce the glare from computer/TV screens. Other then that you do not need to worry about permanently damaging your eyes from watching TV or being on the computer. :)
