How can one check if he is color blind or not?!
Question:
How can one check if he is color blind or not?
What is that thing because of which we can see the colors?
Answers:
Color blindness is easily checked by an ophthalmologist with a device called an ISHIHARA COLOR CHART. The Ishihara chart can spot the presence of absence of a color deficiency, but it can not accurately tell you what kind of color deficiency you have and how severe.
A better test, but a bit more difficult to undergo (for the patient) is the Farnsworth-Munsel Color Test. The patient is asked to arrange color samples based on its similarity to the first color sample. There is a D-15 version (composed of 15 samples) and a D-50 version (composed of 50 color samples). Both tests will be able to measure the severity, and type of color blindness.
Ask you ophthalmologist about it. He might have these tests available at his clinic.
