What's the safest contact lens solution?!

Question:

What's the safest contact lens solution?

Amo Complete Moisture was just recalled, and Renu a few months ago. What is safe? Anything?

Answers:

Clear Care is a great solution, it "deep-cleans" lenses. It works as a peroxide, cleaning the lenses for 6 hours. After that, it works as a regular saline to store the lenses in. For the first 6 hours, you MUST leave the lenses in the solution, if you take them out, the cleaning solution is still working, and will cause chemical burns to your eye. After the 6 hours, you are fine to wear your lenses. Another alternative I use, when I cannot leave my lenses in that long, is OptiFree Express. It is an excellent solution, has not had any contaminations or recalls as it's "competitors" have, and it keeps my lenses moist. Note: even though the bottle says "no-rub", I still rub my lenses for at least 15 seconds, to get off any protein buildup.
